Project Overview
The Paterson New STEAM and STARS High School is a five-story, 266,000-square-foot educational facility planned for the former Paterson Catholic School site. Designed to serve up to 1,564 students in grades nine through twelve, the new school will provide a technology-rich environment centered on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education.
Delivered through a design-build approach, the project is bringing architectural design and construction under one coordinated team. Site preparation is underway, beginning with clearing for construction of a new retaining wall. Once the new facility is complete, the existing school building will be demolished as part of the overall project scope.
STEAM-Focused Learning
Specialized academic and collaborative spaces will support science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and project-based instruction for more than 1,500 students.
Design-Build Delivery
DOBCO is leading the design-build team with Spiezle Architectural Group, coordinating design and construction for efficient delivery of the new high school.
Site Transformation
The project includes development of the former Paterson Catholic School property, early retaining-wall construction, and demolition of the existing school after the new facility is complete.
