Project Overview
The Hudson County Community College Center for Student Success is a new 11-story, 153,186-square-foot mixed-use academic tower under construction in Jersey City’s Journal Square neighborhood. The facility will centralize student services and expand the College’s academic, workforce-development, athletic, health sciences, and community programming within one accessible campus destination.
The center will include 24 classrooms, student common areas, health sciences laboratories, a full-size NCAA gymnasium, fitness center, black-box theater, 85 offices, eight conference rooms, and a University Center for partner institutions offering bachelor’s-level instruction. The facility reached a major construction milestone with its topping-out ceremony on April 17, 2025, and is scheduled to open in fall 2026.
